Proximity Wine Bar is a fresh, community-centered concept that celebrates small producers, local agriculture, and modern hospitality. Featuring a dynamic, hyper-local wine list, craft beer and cocktails, a seasonally-inspired menu, and a stylish yet welcoming atmosphere, Proximity is designed to become a destination for wine lovers, friends, creators, and neighbors.
We are currently preparing to open our flagship location in Chester County, PA.

Our regional wine program will be led by sustainable, industry-leading, Penns Woods Winery, alongside a curated group of standout producers, including Casa Carmen Farm & Winery, Stony Run Winery, and Waltz Vineyards. Every wine will be thoughtfully selected to represent the very best within a 100-mile radius, and we will maintain an open invitation for regional producers to submit wines for by-the-glass consideration.

From the beginning, we knew our flagship needed to be rooted in Chester County, and we’ve found what we believe is the perfect home in Unionville. The space, the historic former Catherine's restaurant, is now owned by the team behind Farmer & Co. coffee shop and café. With their recent acquisition, a broader vision has begun to take shape — one where our concepts exist in close, complementary orbit.
We’re excited to announce Steve Forte, former Executive Chef of Royal Boucherie, as our consulting culinary partner. His work at Royal Boucherie earned national recognition, particularly for its charcuterie program.
Together, we are developing a modern enoteca-inspired menu that is approachable, high-quality, and deeply wine-friendly — featuring artisan sandwiches and shareable plates designed to complement our program.
The wine industry is at an inflection point. Traditional models are struggling, and it’s clear that rebuilding the market requires innovation and forward-thinking concepts that go beyond simply selling bottles. At Proximity Wine Bar, we’re crafting a model that is profitable while giving back, supporting local farmers, artisans, and communities.
Proximity isn’t just a single location—it’s scalable, designed for emerging wine regions across the U.S., serving as both anchor and beacon for how the wine market can rebuild itself from the ground up, reconnecting wine to local identity, culture, and shared experiences.
Proximity is exploring partnerships with individuals who believe in supporting sustainable wine, local community, and elevated neighborhood hospitality. If you're passionate about innovative food & beverage concepts and would like to learn more about our plans, we invite you to connect with us.
